Motherhood can be really tough. But you are not alone.
New Workshop Brings Calm, Caring and Confidence to the Marathon of Motherhood
Parenting is often the greatest challenge we face and yet we do so with:
- too little sleep,
- too little support and
- too much self criticism.
It’s no surprise that mothers all over the world are overworked, overtired, and overwhelmed, but my interview with Rick Hanson brought this into stark focus when he described how the everyday challenges of motherhood can culminate in something known as Depleted Mother Syndrome . The kinds of challenges mothers routinely describe to me: drowning in unfinished tasks, fragile emotions and impatience, exhaustion and worry – all are symptoms of the downward slide into the Depleted Mother Syndrome and take much of the joy out of parenting.
But it doesn’t have to be this way. There is hope for mothers and families that doesn’t involve medication! Mothers can now participate in workshops and an online program for help that offer expert advice and training in mindfulness and self compassion for women all over the world.
In addition to the internationally renown online program, we now have dates for in person workshops in Melbourne.
Mindfulness 4 Mothers offers the ideal antidote to the overwhelm that naturally arises from the marathon of motherhood. It has the power to prevent the downward spiral into depression, anxiety and Depleted Mother Syndrome.
Find out how simple mindfulness and self compassion practices can:
- strengthen and resource you for the long haul,
- open up greater choice in how you respond to parenting challenges and
- bring greater calm, joy and optimism to your parenting journey
Join us for a 4 week program of:
- gentle discussion of the key resources you need to flourish as a parent
- practical exercises you can continue at home (some with your babies and children)
- an opportunity to steady and restore yourself with a small group of mothers or mothers-to-be
Online Program (included with enrolment in either Workshop)
With a combination of international expert interviews and guided practices, the online program provides mothers and mother-to-be with lifetime access to training and tools to cope with the demands of being a mum. The goal of the training is for participants to restore their own inner calm, confidence, and a closer connection with their children.
Mindfulness 4 Mothers is not another set of instructions on how to be a perfect mother. Far from it! It is expert self-care for any stage of pregnancy and motherhood. We know mums are busy, so the best part is that it everything is tailored to be realistic and achievable as well as profoundly soothing!
Interviews and exercises can be downloaded to keep and review at a time that works for subscribers in the comfort of their own home. Guests we interviewed also share poignant moments of their own parenting journey. Additionally, members can interact in the support forum led by me.
I designed this well-being program for mothers who want to prevent or recover from feeling the exhaustion, stress, and loss of control that often accompanies motherhood. Restorative stillness and self compassion can be very healing: they open up greater choice in how you respond in the challenging moments of parenting, bringing the joy and connection back into motherhood.
